Eileen Esther Irma Newman, age 95, of Lavin, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in Town & Country, Missouri. He was born in Des Plaines, Illinois, on January 10, 1928, to Romeo and Olga Siegwalt (née Hiller).
Eileen is survived by her son, Thomas (Melinda) Newman; granddaughters, Caitlin (Patrick Green) Newman, Erin (Austen) Owen, and Alexandra Newman; grandson, Michael Newman; great-granddaughter, Victoria Owen; and great-grandsons, Harrison Green and Ozzie Owen. Also survived by a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Edward Newman; grandson, David Newman; parents, Romeo and Olga Siegwalt; brother, Raymond Sigwalt; and sister, Joyce Siegwalt.
After spending her childhood and adult life in Illinois, Eileen retired to Sarasota, Florida in 1990 with her husband. After her husband’s death in 2011, she relocated to the St. Louis area to be closer to family.
She and her husband loved golf, vacation cruises and the Florida weather. However, nothing makes him happier than spending time with friends and family.
